The Cumberland Wood Bank greatly appreciates the very generous donations of wood from the community for our heating assistance program.
We are still very interested in accepting wood donations. We are also seeking volunteers from the community who would like to help out on occasion with processing the wood and delivering it in the local community. 100% of the wood and $ raised through the sale of wood goes to heating assistance in our local community.
All volunteers age 15 and older are welcome. No experience or equipment is required beyond a pair of gloves (but if you have a saw, splitter, truck, or trailer…it will likely be put to use). Most important is an interest in helping out. Please email brucewildes@gmail.com or call 829 6222 if you would like to be notified of dates, times, and locations when we will be working. Please forward this to others you know who might have interest. We greatly appreciate any help.
We have an immediate need for next week (July 19th - July 25) to split 5 trees- that are coming down this week on Middle Road. If anyone is available in the next week or so to help start processing please e-mail Bruce of your availability.
